Update on National ID pick-up and issuance at the Embassy

The National ID registration center at the Embassy will re-open for national ID Enrollment and for pick-up of IDs ready for collection at the following times by appointment:

Tuesdays 10:00am - 4:00pm

Thursdays: 10:00am - 4:00pm

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and as per Federal Guidelines for staff safety and to do our part in containing the spread of the outbreak, with effect from Wednesday 18th March, 2020 all Embassy Staff are working from home until further notice. For the health and safety of our staff you are kindly requested to schedule an appointment by calling 2027267100 or send an email to KKasibayo@ugandaembassyus.org. Walk-ins will not be granted access to the premises.

IMPORTANT NOTICE BEFORE SEEKING AN APPOINTMENT: DC Health has released an updated list of high-risk states where the seven-day moving average of daily new COVID-19 cases is 10 or more per 100,000 persons. Mayor Bowser issued Mayor’s Order 2020-081 with requirements for all people traveling into Washington, DC from high-risk states. The high risk states are listed below:

Anyone coming into Washington, DC from a high-risk state (within the prior 14 days) who was traveling for non-essential activities will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days from their arrival in the District. Individuals traveling from high-risk states after essential travel or arriving in the District for essential travel are required to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days and, if they show signs or experience symptoms of COVID-19, they are to self-quarantine and seek medical advice or testing.
